I was watching a video a few weeks back about how race tracks don't bring in as much money as they once did and have been closed down, the video then went on to report that Laguna Seca is the next big track at risk.
1. Because they are not making huge amounts of profits on the track each year.
I think they do make money but not the amount they are aiming for.
2. Some people decided to build there houses there and then realized it was a loud race track and started to complain.
You would think they would know that but no. Since complaining the track has noise restrictions from different times of day and even have to stick muzzles on the cars to keep them quite ( mostly track day cars I think).
3. Not enough people are going. Not enough bums on seats.
The track has had problems before but comes through and hopefully will again but money talks.
I know Silverstone losses money ever year it holds the F1 but it has other races people go to see to help out.
Let me know that you think.
Wat!!!! For the Love of God let laguna seca live on
